Once you get into this book you need to finish it as there are many traces to follow but the path through is certainly gripping.
Rachel Knight (Deputy District Attorney) sees red when a fellow lawyer fails to see any justice in the death of a homeless person who was stabbed because he was just a homeless person. Rachel looks into this more thoroughly and the mystery deepens. As she works to uncover the mystery, it is linked also to the violent death of the homeless person’s brother (a policeman) murdered in brutal circumstances, with his wife being the main suspect yet found not guilty. Things heat up - Is someone is following her and wants her silenced?
